Karen King has been a psychotherapist for almost two decades and has loved every minute of it. In 2020, she trained as a Ketamine Assisted Therapist, in MAPS MDMA Assisted Therapy certification and then the past year in the MAPS Naropa Psychedelic Assisted Therapy certification program. Karen set up a Ketamine clinic in 2019 at her Integrated Behavioral Health clinic- navigating all the guidelines of the state, the lack of protocols and standards, all the weirdnesses, quirks and intricacies of running this particular type of practice. Karen also consult with companies looking to add Ketamine to their Natural Health offerings, and train clinicians in the clinical approach of Contemplative Psychotherapy, the method of therapy being utilized in the psychedelic clinical trials. She is a member of American Society of Ketamine Providers, the American Psychedelic Practitioners Association, the American Association of Psychedelics and has a strong passion to help clinicians feel comfortable adding this unique medicine to their practice safely, thoughtfully and creatively.
