Telemedicine Training for Washington State Health Care Professionals

This meets criteria for all requirements for Washington State SB 6061.

Washington State SB 6061 requires that all health care professionals who provides clinical services through telemedicine or telehealth shall complete a telemedicine training with several requirements. This training meets that requirement and goes further into depth into what the future of telemedicine might hold. Further scientific data is reviewed about quality of care, patient satisfaction, and clinical competences for clinicians facing challenges of telehealth. Recommendations on how to overcome the biggest challenges in telehealth are discussed. This includes, patients feeling less paid attention to, feeling shy about asking questions, and feeling more disconnected and impersonal. Further telehealth etiquette and ways to keep professionalism are demonstrated as well.

Workshop attendees can expect to:

Leo DeBroeck, MS, LMHC, CMHS, MHP  received his BA in Psychology from Gonzaga University and his Masters in Psychology from Eastern Washington University.   Leo is currently a Child and Family Therapist at Sea Mar Community Health.  He is the Founder/CEO of Counselor’s Choice Award, LLC, and a Quarterly Faculty Member at Eastern Washington University, Bellevue where he teaches undergraduate and graduate classes and seminars. Mr. DeBroeck has written several articles and books about Suicide, Trauma, Abuse and Neglect, and children dealing with parental drug and alcohol dependency. Leo also has volunteered for Everett School District, Boy Scouts of America and Compass Health
